BrushOS, a product of Craftsman Painter, Inc., is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and handle your information when you use our application, AI estimating tools, and services.

1. Information We Collect

When you use BrushOS, request a painting estimate, or connect your Google Account via OAuth, we may collect specific data required for the platform's functionality. This includes:

  • Gmail: To allow you to send and receive project-related emails directly within the BrushOS interface.
  • Google Calendar: To sync project timelines, schedule site visits, and manage crew availability.
  • Google Contacts: To import and manage client contact information for streamlined communication.
  • Google Business Profile: To manage and respond to business reviews and update project-related information on your public profile.
  • Project Media, 3D LiDAR Scans & AI Estimator Inputs: Property photographs, room dimensions, 3D LiDAR spatial room models, color selections, and SMS/voice/chat transcripts submitted to generate project estimates or color visualizations.
  • Basic Profile & Contact Information: Your name, phone number, property address, and email address to create and manage your account or project proposal.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the features of BrushOS and Craftsman Painter services. Specifically:

  • Enhanced Accessibility: To provide painting professionals with greater flexibility and streamlined access to their Google accounts through an interface specifically designed for the unique workflow of painters.
  • Project Communication & AI Estimating: To centralize client communications, calculate preliminary project scopes, generate 3D room measurements, and render digital paint color visualizations.
  • Scheduling & Reputation: To sync site visits and project timelines with Google Calendar and manage business reputation through the Google Business Profile integration.
  • Support & Improvement: To provide customer support and improve the user interface and performance of the BrushOS platform.

3. Google API Services User Data Policy (Limited Use) & Agentic AI Governance

BrushOS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as well as the Google Cloud Agentic AI Responsible Use Guidelines (effective October 12, 2026).

  • No Selling of Data: We do not sell your Google user data, financial data, or project inputs to third parties.
  • No Advertising: We do not use your Google user data or uploaded property media for serving third-party advertisements.
  • Enterprise AI Data Isolation & Human-in-the-Loop Controls: Inputs processed through our enterprise Google Cloud / Vertex AI / Gemini systems (such as SMS/voice estimator transcripts, property photos, and LiDAR room scans) remain isolated within our enterprise environment. Automated AI outputs are probabilistic aids and require human verification prior to binding contract execution.
  • Human Review: We do not allow humans to read your Google OAuth user data unless we have obtained your explicit agreement for specific data (e.g., for tech support), it is necessary for security purposes, or to comply with applicable laws.

4. Mobile Communications & SMS Privacy (A2P 10DLC)

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information obtained through SMS opt-in (such as phone numbers, consent records, and message content) is kept strictly confidential and used solely by Craftsman Painter, Inc. to provide requested residential painting estimates, appointment confirmations, project updates, and direct customer support. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for support.

5. Data Storage and Security

We implement bank-grade security measures to protect your data, including TLS 1.3 encryption in transit and AES-256 encryption at rest via Google Cloud KMS. Your Google OAuth and Plaid tokens are encrypted at rest in server-side secret datastores. We only retain user data for as long as necessary to provide the services requested by you.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your user data with third parties except:

  • As necessary to provide the BrushOS service (e.g., with enterprise cloud and payment service providers who are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection agreements).
  • If required by law or to protect our legal rights.
  • In the event of a merger or sale of the company, with prior notice to you.

7. Your Rights and Choices

You can revoke BrushOS's access to your Google Account at any time through your Google Security Settings. You may also request the deletion of your BrushOS account and associated data by contacting us.
